ABOUT
H.L. Connolly started her career in entertainment as a ballet dancer and choreographer. Her choreography has been featured in countless productions throughout the country. Her time as a choreographer with Youth America Ballet garnered her several awards from competitive institutions such as The American Dance Awards in NYC as well as the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix. As a co-founder of the Los Angeles-based production company Artbrawl, H.L. served as a co-producer and choreographer for regional productions throughout Hollywood’s theatre district including a gender-bending rendition of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest and a stunning reimagining of Mary Zimmerman’s Metamorphosis that the Los Angeles Times raved as “Achingly youthful and attractive… H.L.’s subtle contribution contributes greatly!”
As a songwriter, she has had the incredible opportunity to contribute lyrics to projects with Radio Nation Productions, triangulares, La Strega Entertainment, and Legoland. Serving as both playwright and lyricist, her original work has received numerous produced readings in both Los Angeles and New York City. H.L. has contributed lyrics in a multitude of mediums including commercial media, original theater, song catalogs, and theme parks.
